A Retail Business Support Officer provides critical administrative, operational, and inventory support to ensure smooth store functionality, including stock management, data entry, and customer service. They bridge the gap between store operations, logistics, and management, handling daily tasks like reporting, rota coordination, and supplier communication to optimize performance.Key ResponsibilitiesInventory & Logistics: Manage stock intake, replenishment, and recording, including checking supplier invoices and conducting regular inventory checks.Operational Reporting: Perform data entry, generate sales reports, analyze fast/slow-moving products, and support click-and-collect orders.Administrative Support: Assist with staff rotas, correspondence, and file maintenance.Customer & Stakeholder Service: Act as a central contact for enquiries, handling customer queries professionally and coordinating with internal/external partners.General Support: Assist with office management, meeting scheduling, and sometimes, procurement or financial tasks.Required Skills and QualificationsProficiency in IT: High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.Analytical Ability: Good numerical skills for tracking sales and managing inventory.Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills, with a positive, "can-do" attitude.Organization: Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.Experience: Previous experience in a busy office, retail environment, or administration role.Common QualificationsGCSEs or equivalent.Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration is often preferred.
