An outstanding and highly regarded secondary school in Hounslow is seeking an exceptional Graduate Teaching Assistant to join its dedicated and high-performing team. This role will commence in September, full-time basis throughout the next academic year from September 2026.

This is an ideal opportunity for ambitious graduates looking to gain meaningful, hands-on experience in a school setting ahead of teacher training or a long-term career in education.

The Role

As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with experienced teachers and support staff to contribute to a dynamic and engaging learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

    • Supporting students across Key Stages 3 and 4 within the classroom.
    • Providing one-to-one and small group academic support to raise attainment.
    • Assisting with lesson delivery, preparation, and classroom organisation.
    • Helping to manage behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment.
    • Supporting students with varying learning needs, including those requiring additional support.
    • Gaining exposure to curriculum planning, assessment, and wider school life.

    The June start date offers a unique opportunity to gain early classroom experience, build confidence, and establish relationships before continuing into a full academic year role from September.

    Candidate Profile

    We are seeking high-calibre graduates who:

      • Russell Group graduates, or final-year students, on track to achieve a 2:1 degree or above in core subjects.
      • Are due to graduate this year and available to begin a full-time role from September.
      • Have a strong academic background and a clear interest in education.
      • Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
      • Are professional, proactive, and eager to learn.
      • Have experience working with young people (desirable but not essential).
