Summary
A Vacancy at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive Psychosexual Service providing excellent therapeutic intervention to the residents of Lancashire and Blackpool. The successful applicant will demonstrate highly experienced therapeutic and supervisory skills in addition to managerial and leadership expertise working closely within the team and alongside the service lead. Their managerial position will enable them not only to creatively contribute toward the provision of excellence in service delivery and service user experience and outcomes but also to be forward facing moving the service and the team toward positive change and development
There will be the formulation of a clear job plan combining therapeutic client work and clinical supervision alongside dedicated time to work with the service lead from a leadership/managerial perspective. 50% of the role will be direct team management and service development

Key responsibilities:
To act as an expert practitioner in Psychosexual Therapy
To maintain a specific caseload and manage such reporting to the Principal Therapist.
To work effectively with multidisciplinary colleagues to provide an efficient and high-quality standard of care for clients referred into the service.
To maintain a high standard of personal clinical practice including access of regular supervision as specified by the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)
To contribute to the maintenance a positive and efficient service waiting list.
To provide evidence of effective service delivery through on-going monitoring and evaluation in line with key performance indicators.
To support the governance and quality improvement agenda for the organisation. Ensure supervision and Care Quality Commission standards and regulations are embedded in practice.
To provide leadership for the service and advice, consultancy, teaching and training to colleagues within and outside the Trust.
Contribute to the development of policies, procedures and protocols in relation to clinical intervention/practice and service management.
Support the Head of Service to ensure the budgetary management for the service remains observed within the parameters set.
To maintain an excellent standard of clinical practice within the team ensuring robust provision and access to clinical supervision as specified by the College of Sex and Relationship Therapists (COSRT)
To contribute to the maintenance a positive and efficient service waiting list.
To provide evidence of effective service delivery through on-going monitoring and evaluation in line with key performance indicators.
To support the governance and quality improvement agenda for the organisation. Ensure supervision and Care Quality Commission standards and regulations are embedded in practice.
Adhere to Trust clinical and management policies and procedures
To support innovation and change within clinical practice in line with Trust requirements, and emerging national priorities and guidance
To ensure that all clinical interventions carried out are evidence based andclinically effective
Possess the skills and wide range of clinical knowledge to work as an autonomous practitioner to undertake independent, direct consultation and provision of care.
Formulate, provide and evaluate intervention /treatment for complex patients including rationale for decision making.
To adopt the concept of customer care and challenge performance or interactions which fail to deliver a quality service to internal and external customers.
Be a role model for the service demonstrating a clear understanding of service and organisational goals and represent the beliefs and values of the organisation.
Comply with all training to identify and manage risk including safeguarding concerns ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to.
Maintain own professional registration and hold responsibility for own continued professional development meeting requirements to maintain a professional portfolio and demonstrating evidence of reflective practice.
To provide leadership for the service and advice, consultancy, teaching and training to colleagues within and outside the Trust.
