KPI Education is proud to be working in partnership with a high-performing and supportive secondary school in Hemel Hempstead to recruit a Maths Graduate Trainee Teacher for September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity to train within one school environment, gaining invaluable classroom experience while working towards Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE within one academic year.

About the Programme

This school-based training programme offers a structured and immersive route into teaching:

    • Spend 4½ days per week in school, developing hands-on classroom experience from day one.
    • Dedicate ½ day per week to professional development, training, and academic study.
    • Achieve QTS and a PGCE by July 2027.
    • Receive personalised mentoring from experienced Maths teachers and in-school leaders.
    • Follow a carefully structured training plan designed to build your confidence, subject expertise, and classroom management skills.

    This is an ideal pathway for graduates seeking a supportive and practical introduction to teaching within a single, welcoming school community.

    Candidate Profile

    We are looking for ambitious graduates who:

      • Hold (or are predicted) a 2:1 degree or higher in Mathematics or a closely related subject.
      • Have GCSE Grade C / 4 or above in both English and Maths.
      • Are passionate about teaching Maths and making a difference to young people.
      • Possess strong communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
      • Are receptive to feedback and eager to develop professionally.
      • Are committed to pursuing a long-term career in teaching.
