What you will bring to the role You will be actively involved in providing direct and indirect compassionate care for patients in support of the multidisciplinary team. You will undertake a range of delegated clinical patient care duties and can be expected to work under direct or indirect supervision by a registered practitioner. The jobholder will assist in the overall implementation and evaluation of care as part of the multi professional team. The jobholder is expected to plan, implement, deliver and maintain high standards of patient care. The jobholder will be skilled in taking appropriate action(s) and acting on own initiative to achieve the planned outcome. The jobholder will contribute to the maintenance of an environment for effective care. The jobholder will be expected to work at the Leeds Chest clinic at the LGI site and also in Bronchoscopy at the St James site. The jobholder will be expected to practice in accordance within Trust policies, guidelines, standards and statutory requirements and operate within defined competency boundaries. Criteria: NVQ3 in Health and Social Care, Diploma in Health Level 3, Diploma in Health and Social Care Level 3 or equivalent health care related qualification The Care Certificate or in the absence of this the jobholder must successfully attain the Care Certificate within the first 3 months of employment. Basic skills Maths and English Level 2 (equivalent of GCSE 4-9 (A*-C)). Significant experience of working within a healthcare setting delivering personal and clinical care. Utilisation of planning and organisational skills Insight into roles responsibilities of post. Basic IT skills. Significant experience of working within the speciality or department (desirable).
