£15.72 per hourWe are recruiting for an experienced Anaerobic Digestion (AD) Multi Skilled Operator to join a busy and highly regulated waste processing facility in Rotherham. This is a key operational role within a modern processing environment, supporting the safe and efficient running of the anaerobic digestion process and associated plant operations.

The Role

As an AD Multi Skilled Operator, you will be responsible for operating and monitoring the anaerobic digestion process, mobile plant machinery, and site systems. You will also support housekeeping, maintenance activities, and operational compliance across MBT and weighbridge areas where required.

This role requires a strong operational mindset, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, performance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

Operate mobile plant machinery for material handling in line with environmental permits and contract requirements
Monitor and support the anaerobic digestion process in accordance with site procedures
Work in compliance with SHEQ policies, including reporting close calls and incidents
Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in site audits and checks
Work closely with the management team and wider site staff
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
Carry out light maintenance and cleaning of equipment
Support supervisors with maintenance reviews, KPI monitoring, cost control, and safety observations
Maintain high housekeeping standards across all operational areas
Work across MBT and weighbridge areas when required
Essential:

Experience working with SCADA systems or similar process plant control systems
Proven experience working to KPIs in an operational environment
Strong track record of continuous improvement and process development
Experience with data capture and reporting systems
Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental compliance
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Computer literate with strong organisational ability
Full UK driving licence
Desirable:

Experience operating mobile plant machinery
Experience in shift-based operations
Knowledge of waste operations, AD processes, and mechanical systems (valves, pumps, motors, instrumentation)
Fire Marshal and/or First Aid qualification
Basic mechanical or plant maintenance skills
Logistics or waste industry experience
You will work closely with:

AD Supervisor and Operations Managers
SCADA and Weighbridge Controllers
SHEQ and compliance teams
Site visitors and operational colleagues
