The Role
As a Senior Therapeutic Support Worker, you’ll combine direct care with leadership. You’ll guide the team, model best practice and help create a therapeutic home grounded in Ubuntu’s values.
Key Responsibilities
Lead, mentor and support the staff team
Provide trauma‑informed, child‑centred care
Support children with routines, emotional regulation and positive behaviour
Complete sleep‑ins as part of a rolling rota to be agreed
Support children on the school runs, appointments and activities
Take children to various activities if they have extra curricular school clubs or on other fun activities such as football, ice‑skating, bowling, fun-fairs and community events
Support children during family contact
Maintain high standards of safeguarding, recording and professional practice
We’re Looking For
Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Children’s Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
Experience supporting children with emotional and behavioural support needs in a residential care home
Experience leading or mentoring staff in this sector
Full UK driving licence
Calm, resilient, reflective and child‑centred
Committed to therapeutic practice and positive outcomes
