Summary
Process Plant Operations Manager | Central Scotland | £75,000 + benefits
A major industrial processing operation in Central Scotland is looking to appoint an experienced Plant Operations Manager to lead a large-scale continuous process facility operating within a complex, safety-critical environment.
This is a senior operational leadership role responsible for the overall performance of a technically demanding site, including operational reliability, maintenance coordination, safety, compliance, team leadership and continuous improvement.
The facility operates 24/7 and requires someone comfortable working within a fast-paced industrial environment where strong leadership, engineering understanding and people management are equally important.
The successful candidate will lead multidisciplinary operational and maintenance teams while driving performance, operational stability and a positive site culture.

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading day-to-day plant operations across a complex industrial facility
- Driving operational reliability, plant performance and uptime
- Managing safety, compliance and permit-driven operations
- Supporting maintenance and outage activities
- Leading, developing and mentoring operational teams
- Managing difficult conversations, performance and conflict resolution where required
- Building a strong operational culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
- Working closely with engineering, maintenance and site leadership teams
We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:
- Strong industrial plant leadership experience
- Continuous process plant exposure
- Engineering or technical operational understanding
- Experience managing operational and maintenance teams
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to remain calm and decisive within demanding operational environments
- A visible, hands-on leadership style
