Summary
Joiners are skilled tradespeople who specialize in constructing and repairing wooden structures and fittings. They work in a variety of settings including residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
Responsibilities
Measure and mark out materials for cutting and shaping
Cut, shape, and join wood pieces using hand and power tools
Install and fit wooden structures and fittings such as doors, windows, cabinets, and furniture
Repair and replace damaged or worn-out wooden structures and fittings
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accuracy of work
Qualifications
Proven experience in joinery or carpentry
Proficiency in using hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Must have a CSCS Card
