Summary
To provide high standards of individualised nursing care for patients and their families by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care with supervision of Trained Theatre staff. Recognise and report appropriately any changes in patients condition and escalate appropriately to a Trained practitioner. To build effective relationships with patients using empathy and reassurance and to be the patients advocate. To provide, receive, and communicate sensitive and confidential information with the MDT, including telephone messages, answering bleeps, comments or complaints. To attend and participate in department/ward meetings. To support the Clinical Leader to develop and maintain clinical services that meet the needs of patients and the MDT. This post is being advertised as a Band 3, however applicants that do not meet the required care certificate competencies will initially be employed as a Band 2.Applicants who hold a care certificate accreditation will start in post at Band 3. As part of the interview process you will be asked to complete a numeracy and literacy assessment.
