Are you a friendly and reliable individual who enjoys working with children? We are looking for enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisory Assistants to join our team, ensuring that our students have a safe, fun, and organised break in the middle of their school day.

About WPT

At Wickersley Partnership Trust (WPT), we are fueled by a single commitment: 'We never knowingly do less for other people’s children than we would for our own.' As a thriving network of schools across South Yorkshire, we combine high expectations with embedded inclusivity. We do not work in silos; instead, we rely on deep collaboration and school-to-school support to ensure every student develops socially, emotionally, and academically to achieve the highest standards.
About the Role

Lunchtime is an important part of the school day, allowing students to recharge and socialise. As a Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant, you will work under the direction of the Senior Midday Supervisor to oversee the dining hall and playground areas. You will be a friendly face for the students, helping them with their meals, encouraging good behaviour, and supervising activities. Whether it is keeping the dining area clean or organising games on a rainy day, your contribution will ensure the environment remains safe and welcoming for everyone.

Responsibilities

Be responsible for the overall supervision of designated areas, assisting pupils at meal times and ensuring pupils take responsibility for clearing eating facilities by removing food and debris.

Perform basic cleaning tasks to meet the academy's Health and Safety standards.

Supervise organised activities, especially indoors during inclement weather, to encourage the development of social skills and self-discipline, ensuring equipment is utilised effectively and stored safely.

Be aware of the academy’s behaviour guidelines and deal with the misbehaviour of any pupils, keeping the Senior Midday Supervisor informed.

Monitor designated areas, ensuring that any incidents or security breaches are reported appropriately to ensure the safeguarding of pupils.

Provide appropriate care and support to pupils, ensuring their welfare and hygiene needs are met.

In the event of any injuries, deal immediately with the situation by referring to the Senior Midday Supervisor and following the academy’s policy and procedure.
