Key Responsibilities
Support
the Quantity Surveying, Buying & Estimating team in the commercial
management of construction projects from pre-contract through to final account
Assist
with measurement, valuation and financial control of works packages
Support
the preparation of cost plans, budgets and forecasts
Assist
with procurement activities, including subcontractor tender enquiries and
analysis
Support
the administration of construction contracts, including variations and change
control
Assist
with monitoring project costs, cash flow and value against budget
Maintain
accurate commercial records and documentation in line with company procedures
Support
the preparation of financial reports and internal cost monitoring information
Work
collaboratively with site teams, design teams and supply chain partners
Engage
fully with the Level 4 apprenticeship, completing all required off-the-job
learning, coursework, portfolio evidence and End Point Assessment
Apply
learning from the apprenticeship directly into the workplace, demonstrating
continuous professional development
Training
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a nationally recognised Level 4 Construction Quantity Surveying Technician apprenticeship via our training partner, Learning Skills Partnership . Your Apprenticeship typically takes 21 months to complete and is fully supported through a combination of regular online lessons, e-learning materials, and access to their team of experts for 1-2-1 advice and support.
Qualifications required
5 GCSEs at grade A-C or equivalent, including Maths and English.
A Level 3 qualification (A Level, BTEC, T Level, Apprenticeship or equivalent).
Skills required
Use of IT systems (email, basic reporting tools)
Problem solving
Time management and organisation
Teamwork and collaboration
Strong Communication Skills (verbal and written)
