Summary
Prospero Teaching is working with an independent school in the Reading area to recruit a knowledgeable and committed Science Teacher (QTS) for a September start. You will be responsible for delivering engaging Science lessons across KS3 and KS4, supporting pupils to develop a clear understanding of key scientific concepts. This role would suit both experienced teachers and confident ECTs who are looking to work within a more personalised and structured setting.
- Teach Science across KS3 and KS4
- Plan and deliver differentiated, engaging lessons
- Support pupils in developing scientific understanding and confidence
- Assess work and monitor student progress
- Maintain a structured and supportive classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with support staff and wider teams
- Promote positive behaviour and engagement
- Follow safeguarding and school policies consistently
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Strong subject knowledge in Science
- Experience teaching at secondary level
- Comfortable adapting lessons to support a range of learning needs
- Strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Patient, flexible, and approachable teaching style
- Suitable for experienced teachers and ECTs
