Summary

Overview

Aurovia Ltd is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Maths and English Tutors to support students from Year 7 and above in developing their academic skills. We are looking for face-to-face tutors, and welcome applications from candidates with QTS and without QTS.

This role involves working with learners of varying abilities, including those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and proven experience in tutoring or teaching.

This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact on students’ learning and confidence in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

Deliver personalised face-to-face tutoring sessions in Maths and/or English tailored to individual student needs
Plan and deliver engaging, structured lessons that build understanding and confidence
Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies where required
Create a positive and motivating learning environment
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding progress
Ensure all sessions are delivered professionally and in line with safeguarding standards
Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching (essential)
Strong knowledge of Maths and/or English curriculum (KS3+)
Ability to build rapport with students and explain concepts clearly
Experience supporting students with SEN (desirable but not essential)
Reliable, organised, and committed to student success
QTS desirable but not essential – applications welcome from both qualified teachers and experienced tutors
A genuine passion for helping learners achieve their full potential
