Main Purpose of the Role
To provide high-quality support to young people living in Hannah-Grace homes, helping them develop the confidence, skills, and independence needed for adult life. As a support worker, you will act as a positive role model, building trusting relationships with young people and providing guidance, encouragement, and practical support in a safe and nurturing environment.

You will promote the welfare, safety, and personal development of young people, ensuring that safeguarding responsibilities are understood and followed in line with company policies, procedures, and relevant legislation.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Build positive and professional relationships with young people, offering day-to-day support, guidance, and encouragement.
2. Support young people to develop independent living skills, including budgeting, cooking, cleaning, education, employment, managing appointments, and more.
3. Act as a positive role model, promoting healthy lifestyles, positive decision-making, and appropriate behaviour.
4. Create and maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming home environment where young people feel valued, respected, and able to achieve their goals.
5. Safeguard and promote the welfare of young people at all times, recognising, responding to, and reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with company policies and procedures.
6. Maintain accurate records, reports, daily logs, and other documentation to a high standard, ensuring information is recorded clearly and promptly.
7. Support the maintenance, cleanliness, and presentation of the home, encouraging young people to take responsibility for their living environment.
8. Follow all company policies, procedures, and professional standards, including health and safety requirements.
9. Work effectively with colleagues, managers, social workers, education providers, healthcare professionals, families, and other relevant agencies to ensure the best outcomes for young people.
10. Complete timesheets, records, and any other administrative tasks accurately and within required timescales.

The above duties are not exhaustive, and you may be required to undertake other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the service and the ongoing support of young people.
