Position Summary Reporting to the Shift Supervisor you will oversee the machinery process in Production and Manufacturing areas, ensuring a smooth operation during the shift.

Main Duties/Responsibilities:

• Must have knowledge on cleaning the machine.
• Must be able to start the machinery after CIP finish.
• Must be able to set timing on machines ready for production.
• Responsible for the tools being used and recorded.
• Manage the paperwork.
• Ensure the level of consumables ink /grease are monitored.
• Maintain a record of dates use to grease machinery.
• Order the parts that are needed for break down through the right channels.
• Inform the supervisor about any parts required for the job.
• Ensure the levels of time break down are kept to a minimum.
• Ensure the trial of new material is done in your presence.
• Train new staff on machine operations.
• Responsible for the effective operation of process machinery to achieve production targets and quality standards.
• Ensure that guards are in place and functioning correctly .
• Carry out daily safety and hygiene checks.
• Continuously monitor the quality of the product and liaise with QA when appropriate.
• Monitor machinery to ensure it is running correctly and safety during production.
• Identify and report any mechanical faults or problems immediately.
• Maintain all paperwork and ensure all relevant information/documentation concerning the machinery is available to the next shift.
• Ensuring the machines are ran effectively i.e. checking the speed.
• Responsible for shift machinery shut down prior to the end of shift including, generators, compressors, boilers and pumps.

Required Essential Skills and Qualification:

• Minimum of 1 years’ experience in similar role
• Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications
• The ability to safely operate machinery and equipment.
• The ability to stand for extended periods.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination.
• Good physical condition. Required Personal Attributes
