HGV Technician
Location: Hemel Hempstead
Salary: Up to £25ph DOE (£55,000+)
Shift: Monday to Friday, late shift 1:30pm - 10pm
Extras: Overtime paid at 1.5x basic rate, Saturdays paid at OT rate, 30 days holiday
We're looking for a skilled HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or HGV Fitter to join a professional and supportive team. You'll be carrying out repairs, servicing, and diagnostics on HGVs in a well-equipped workshop with ongoing training and career progression on offer.
Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter:
• Carry out routine servicing, maintenance and inspections
• Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on a range of HGVs
• Support the workshop team in maintaining a clean and safe environment
• Communicate clearly with service advisors and colleagues
• Work efficiently to manufacturer standards
• Complete job cards accurately and on time
Skills and Qualifications for an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV Fitter
Essential
• Previous experience as a HGV Technician or HGV Mechanic
• Previous Trailer Repair experience
• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good team player and communicator
