Summary
Learning Support Assistant (KS1) at Charlwood Village Primary SchoolWe are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic and caring KS1 Learning Support Assistant to join our wonderful school community at Charlwood Village Primary School.
This is a fantastic opportunity to support children across the classroom, helping to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment where every child can flourish.
Working Hours & Salary • Hours: 8:45am – 3:30pm, Monday, Tuesday and Thursday (term time only) • Contract: Fixed-term for one year • Salary: Surrey Pay Grade / NJC Scale (approx. £21,000 – £23,000 FTE, pro-rata for term time)
About the RoleAs a LSA, you will: • Support the KS1 class teacher in delivering engaging lessons • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and build confidence • Help create a safe, supportive and inclusive classroom environment • Assist with preparing classroom resources and activities • Provide pastoral support, encouraging positive behaviour and wellbeing • Contribute to the progress of all pupils, including those with additional needs
What We’re Looking ForWe are seeking someone who: • Is passionate about working with children and supporting their development • Has a positive, patient and proactive approach • Works well as part of a team and builds strong relationships • Has good communication skills • Holds (or is working towards) a Level 2/3 qualification (desirable) • Has GCSE English & Maths (Grade C/4 or above)
