We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced, enthusiastic and self-motivated Pharmacy Technician who wants to work in our clinical trials team delivering a range of trials, whilst developing their specialist clinical trials skills and knowledge.

This newly established post offers an individual the opportunity to support our expanding and well-established Clinical Trials team based at St Bartholomew’s Hospital whilst being primarily based at, and the key Pharmacy presence at the nearby William Harvey Clinical Research Centre. You will work with both teams helping to deliver cutting edge clinical trials to our patients.

The post holder will be a team player and keen to continue to improve quality standards within the department. This position offers the opportunity to learn new skills, develop existing ones as well as being a valued part of the wider multi-disciplinary team

The primary responsibility of the post holder is to support co-ordination and manage operational clinical trial services for dispensary-based trials at Barts Health NHS Trust and IMP trials at WHCRC. The focus of the role is on the following outcomes (this list is not exhaustive and may change in reaction to the needs of the service):

· Ensure all clinical trials are managed efficiently within pharmacy according to anticipated timelines

· Ensure the department is achieving the key performance indicator targets for clinical trial services

· Ensure all staff they manage within clinical trials are set clear objectives and are competent in their roles
