Summary
We are currently recruiting a Healthcare Assistant to join the Inpatients Unit at our Outstanding CQC rated hospice in Newcastle Salary:Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale (aligned with AFC) Band 2 £25,272 per annum + enhancements (pro rata) Hours/Contract:Full Time (Days 7.30 am 8 pm, Nights 7.30 pm 8 am) Contract Type:Permanent Based:Newcastle Hospice Closing date:21st June 2026 Interview date:TBC As a Healthcare Assistant with Marie Curie at Newcastle Hospice Inpatients Unit, you'll provide compassionate support to patients and families when they need it most. We deliver specialist palliative care to people living with a life-limiting illness, while also offering essential emotional support to their loved ones. With experience in end-of-life care, you'll be ready to make a meaningful difference every day. Working as part of our dedicated team, you'll provide high-quality, person-centred care in line with each patients individual care plan. Your role will include supporting with personal care and hygiene needs, monitoring symptoms, assisting with medication, maintaining accurate records, and offering emotional reassurance to both patients and their families.
