Practical steps for reducing corridor care

Dr Leilah Dare, GIRFT emergency medicine clinical advisor, and Dr Peter Williams, senior site lead for GIRFT UEC Further Faster, are hosting this webinar to show how the newly published GIRFT corridor care improvement guide offers practical steps to support services to reduce corridor care

We will also hear good practice case studies from trusts sharing their experiences, approaches taken to reduce time spent in ED, and how they have successfully implemented the clinical operational standards to deliver sustained improvement in UEC performance.

Best practice for glaucoma services

Lydia Chang, Jon Bhargava and Liz Wilkinson, GIRFT joint clinical leads for ophthalmology, are hosting a webinar to discuss the details of GIRFT’s new guidance, Best Practice for Glaucoma Services.

The webinar will outline how this new GIRFT guidance offers a practical framework for delivering consistent, patient-centred glaucoma care which prioritises early detection, accurate referrals and lifelong continuity of care.

Improving breast cancer diagnosis

In this webinar Tracey Irvine, GIRFT clinical lead for breast surgery, will discuss the recently published GIRFT breast cancer best practice Faster Diagnosis Standard (FDS) implementation handbook and the practical, evidence-based approaches which can support you to improve breast cancer diagnosis.

Steve Scott, senior operational lead from the NHSE cancer programme, will present an update on the FDS performance and we will have a panel of speakers from the trusts with examples of best practice to respond to your questions.
