Summary

Are you an Early Career Teacher (ECT) seeking a role for September 2026? Or are you looking to gain valuable classroom experience through flexible supply work?

Teaching Personnel is working closely with a wide network of secondary schools across Portsmouth, Waterlooville, Havant, and the surrounding areas, supporting them in recruiting enthusiastic Early Career Teachers who have recently completed their PGCE.

We partner with a diverse range of schools, including state, private, and independent settings, as well as those with varying Ofsted ratings-from 'Good' to 'Outstanding'. Whether you're looking for your first permanent teaching role or want to build confidence and experience, we can support you at every stage of your journey.

Registering with Teaching Personnel means you'll have a dedicated local consultant who will guide and support you as you begin your teaching career. You'll also have the benefit of exploring different settings, including secondary, primary, and SEN, helping you find the right fit for you.

Opportunities available include:

Ad hoc/daily supply: Ideal for gaining experience across a variety of schools before committing to a long-term role.

Short- and medium-term placements: Provide general cover or teach within your subject specialism.

Long-term roles: Join a school for a term, two terms, or even a full academic year, with full support and induction provided.

Temp-to-perm opportunities: Many of our candidates' secure permanent roles after initially working on a supply basis.

Flexible working options: Work around your availability and lifestyle.

Cover supervisor roles: Classroom experience without the responsibility of planning and marking.

Full teaching roles: Including planning, marking, and full classroom responsibility

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
