Details

This aviation modelling suite provides the foundation for range of analysis including:

• Draft Heathrow Expansion National Policy Statement (HENPS)
• Supporting the transition to Jet Zero: creating the UK SAF mandate
• SAF mandate cost benefit analysis

The modelling suite has been updated in line with the department’s policy of continuous improvement to its analytical models. The improvements focused on updating the model to accurately represent UK:

• aviation passenger demand
• aircraft movements and emissions

The precision in forecasting aviation emissions has been further refined and updated.

This version of the aviation model suite replaces the 2024 DfT aviation modelling suite.
