Summary

Why you should join our Team Neurology is part of the Neurosciences CSU based at Leeds General Infirmary. We work very closely with the Stroke Medicine and Neurophysiology departments too, with some cross cover of work. We are a small, friendly group of 16 secretaries and 6 admin clerks covering 20 consultant neurologists and junior staff. The department is always extremely busy but we have regular team get togethers to try and make sure everyone feels supported. Our consultants are also very friendly and very supportive of the whole team. If you are hard working, , can meet deadlines and keep a cool head then this is the role for you! What you will bring to the role Greet patients and visitors to the department, providing an efficient and courteous service, referring queries or concerns regarding patients and other visitors to the department to appropriate senior staff. To request and retrieve relevant information from the appropriate administration system (electronic or paper systems) as necessary including patient case notes. Check/enter patient and /or other details on the Patient Administration and other System General office work and any other duties assigned by the Supervisor/Team Leader or Manager, which may include:-Monitor and maintain appropriate/agreed levels of stock and non stock items, including stationery and office supplies ,maintain diaries for senior staff Please see the attached job description for further information about this vacancy.
