Flexi Season tickets are a flexible type of Season ticket which gives you 8 days of unlimited train travel in 28 days. Great if you make regular trips, but aren't sure when you’ll be travelling!

Plus, because you’ve bought a bundle of tickets, you can avoid queuing at the station for your daily ticket – result!

How do flexi tickets work, and how to activate them?

Flexi Season tickets give you 8 all-day travel passes within 28 days. They're very flexible as you can travel any time of the day, you can go back and forth as much as you want, and you can even get off the train mid-way and finish your journey later!

You'll need to activate a pass before you travel. You can do this on our app, but make sure to tap your smartcard again afterwards so your activated pass can be loaded onto your card.

How do I view how many passes I have remaining?

If you use our GA app, you can view the number of passes you have left to use!

Flexi Season tickets give you 8 passes within 28 days. Each pass need to be activated before you travel. You can do this by going to My Tickets on our app.

Flexi Season ticket prices vary per route but you'll save at least 20% compared to the equivalent monthly season ticket. You can check and compare Season ticket prices with our Season ticket calculator.

You can purchase a Flexi Season on our website, app or at the station.

You can buy a Flexi Season easily online throuhg our website or app. After purchase, wait 5 minutes, then you'll be able to load your Flexi Season on to a Smartcard via the GA app.

  1. Go to My tickets on our app and click the orange Smartcard button.
  2. Tap your Smartcard firmly towards the top of the screen on the front or back of your iPhone, or the back of your Android phone. You'll now be able to see all the tickets on your card.
  3. Find the Flexi Season ticket and click Activate Pass. Wait 1-2 minutes before tapping your card again for your activated pass to be loaded onto your Smartcard.
  4. You're now ready to travel

Yes, Flexi Season tickets are return tickets. You'll get unlimited so you can return travel so you can go back and forth as much you want. You can also break your journey so you can hop on and off at any station between your origin and destination.

Yes, you can you refund the unused days on your Flexi Season and cancel it anytime. Go to My account or My tickets on the GA app to manage your booking.

A Flexi Season gives you a bundle of 8 tickets for use within 28 days whereas as a standard ticket is 1 ticket. This means you can save time buying daily tickets if you get a Flexi Season.
