Walton-on-the-Naze is in Tendring, Essex, East of England, 20 miles east of Colchester. It takes around an hour and a half to get to Walton-on-the-Naze from London by train, changing at Thorpe-le-soken.

Walton-on-the-Naze is a family seaside resort with sandy beaches, seafront gardens, quaint narrow streets, bird watching and fossil hunting. The recently upgraded pier – the UK’s second longest - offers fairground rides, ten pin bowling, escape rooms and sea angling. Just to the north is The Naze, an unspoilt headland of heath, saltmarshes and sandy beaches - it's 70 feet high cliffs are being eroded away. It has a café.
There are also refreshments at the 86-feet high historic Naze Tower, originally a lighthouse and now a unique visitor attraction. Over eight floors it houses an art gallery with three exhibitions a year, a museum on the Tower and Naze, café and a roof viewing platform with spectacular panoramic views.
