The Big Rail Fare Freeze is here. Rail fares have been frozen across England until March 2027 for Standard Anytime, Off-Peak and Season tickets.
What does freezing rail fares mean?
Standard Anytime, Off-Peak and Season rail fares on Greater Anglia and across England will remain frozen at the same price until March 2027.
This is the first rail fare freeze on regulated fares in 30 years, helping all customers, including commuters, keep more in their pockets.

The fare freeze applies to 3 ticket types for Standard travel only. It does not include First Class.
Fares not included in the fares freeze
The big fares freeze only applies to regulated fares, so it does not apply to fares set by ScotRail, Transport for Wales, Caledonian Sleeper, MerseyRail, Transport for London (TfL), Hull Trains, Lumo, Grand Central and Heathrow Express. First class and Standard Premium tickets are excluded.
Changes to fares resulting from the fares reform may result in ticket types, products and/or time restrictions being altered (e.g. due to the introduction of Pay As You Go).
