Crynodeb
Job Purpose: To manage a caseload of patients using specialist evidence-based and/or patient centred principles with a variety range of medical conditions on acute inpatient wards and outpatient clinic. To provide day to day support and supervision to junior colleagues at Worcestershire Royal Hospital working in conjunction with the Team Lead Dietitian. To complete audits and service improvement work to improve nutritional care for inpatients. To provide support and supervision to students on practice placements, by providing input on the development of their timetable, continued education and signing off of competencies with informative feedback. To maintain the service and prioritise the clinical caseload at Worcestershire Royal Hospital when the team lead is off site. To work across site at Alexandra Hospital when demand requires. Job Summary: Working as an experienced autonomous practitioner, to provide a high standard of patient focused care through specialised assessment. To plan and deliver a high quality service to patients working in conjunction with the multi-disciplinary team. To participate in student training, supervision and assessing students. To contribute to the Therapy Clinical Governance agenda to further improve the quality of the service. To assist with the day to day planning co-ordination, monitoring, evaluation and delivery of the dietetic service. Dimensions: To provide dietetic assessment and intervention to patients referred to the Department. To deliver a cohesive and effective service provision to in-patients and out-patients referred to Department. To provide cross specialty cover during staff absences to maintain a dietetic service provision; this may require travelling to other hospital sites. Please see job description for further details.
