Summary
To provide high-quality care and education for children from walking age to 5 years, following the EYFS framework, promoting children’s holistic development and maintaining a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, prepare and deliver age-appropriate activities following the EYFS.
Observe, assess and record children’s progress using the nursery’s systems.
Build strong, positive relationships with children, families and team.
Promote children’s independence, confidence and emotional well-being.
Ensure all safeguarding, health & safety and nursery policies are followed.
Work collaboratively with the team to maintain high standards of education and care.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation within the learning environment.
Attend staff meetings, training sessions and CPD activities as required.
Requirements
Good knowledge of the EYFS and child development.
Experience in early years settings (preferred).
Strong communication skills and a positive, nurturing approach.
Enhanced DBS and two satisfactory references.
Right to work in the UK.
