Relief Role | Home-Based with Occasional Travel

Do you believe everyone deserves support that truly respects who they are? Do you want to be part of a team that puts people with learning disabilities at the centre of decisions about quality?
At Thera, people with a lived experience of learning disability lead the way in shaping what good support looks like.
As a Quality & Involvement Supporter, you'll work in partnership with an Expert by Experience (someone with a learning disability).
Together, you'll gather real feedback from people receiving support and help ensure that care is person-centred, meaningful, and respectful.
This is a relief role with no guaranteed monthly hours, making it ideal if you're looking for purposeful, flexible work alongside other commitments. The role is primarily home-based, with only occasional, planned travel when required.

What You'll Do
Support Experts by Experience to carry out quality checks and assessments
Speak one-to-one with people who receive support, and with those who know them well
Occasionally observe support in people's homes
Attend virtual meetings, training, and occasional in-person meetings or events
Record information accurately and support the writing of quality reports using technology
Collaborate with colleagues across departments and work alongside Quality & Involvement Facilitators to deliver your work plan

What We're Looking For
Experience or understanding of good-quality, person-centred support
Knowledge of safeguarding and inclusive approaches
Strong communication and organisational skills
Confidence using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Teams
A genuine commitment to the rights and dignity of people with learning disabilities
Willingness to undertake occasional travel as required; all associated travel time and mileage expenses are reimbursed.

Why Thera?
You'll join a values-driven, inclusive organisation where people with learning disabilities lead, influence decisions, and help shape what quality care looks like. A partnership in which your contribution will make a genuine difference.

Thera is an equal opportunities employer. We welcome applications from all sections of the community, regardless of sexual orientation, race, age, gender, disability, religion, or belief.
We reserve the right to close this advert early if we interview and offer the right candidate.
