As a Learning Support Assistant in Gloucester, your day-to-day responsibilities will be varied and engaging. You'll have the opportunity to work with students one-on-one, in small groups, and in whole-class settings, providing the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Some of your key duties will include:
- Assisting students with a wide range of subjects, from core academic areas to creative and practical subjects
- Helping to develop and implement individualised learning plans for students with special educational needs or disabilities
- Adapting lesson materials and teaching methods to suit the unique learning styles and needs of each student
- Providing emotional support and guidance to students, helping them to build confidence and resilience
- Collaborating with teachers to plan and deliver engaging, interactive lessons that capture the students' interest
- Maintaining detailed records of student progress and communicating regularly with parents and carers
