- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to SEN students, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential
- Collaborate with teachers to develop and implement personalised learning plans that cater to the unique needs of each student
- Support the delivery of lessons, adapting teaching methods and resources as needed to ensure a positive and engaging learning experience
- Monitor and record students' progress, sharing feedback with teachers and parents/carers to ensure the best possible outcomes
- Assist with the personal care and physical needs of students, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being at all times
- Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance your skills and knowledge in supporting SEN students
- Foster positive relationships with students, parents/carers, and the wider school community
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role supporting SEN students
- Relevant qualifications in education, special needs, or a related field (e.g. NVQ, CACHE, or equivalent)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents/carers, and colleagues
- Demonstrable understanding of SEN, including knowledge of specific learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and behavioural challenges
- Patience, resilience, and the ability to remain calm and adaptable in challenging situations
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
- Proficient in the use of technology and digital tools to support learning
