Our friendly team at The Trees Short Breaks, in Hinckley are looking for a Care Services Team Leader to join our team on a 30 hours per week contract. The Trees Short breaks is a purpose-built respite home in Hinckley, providing respite care for adults with learning disability, Autism, Physical disabilities and Sensory impairments. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to work as part of our team, to provide person centred care.
About the Role
We are looking for people with supervisory or managerial experience who can help us to continue delivering high quality care and support to adults with learning differences (disability) in our Short Breaks services.
You will help us maintain high quality services through effective audit systems and ensure we deliver outcome focussed care and support. You will have the skills to identify risks and have knowledge a good knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
You will provide direct care and support to people who use our services and have the ability to motivate and support our committed team and promote the right values and celebrate individuality.
You will work in accordance with Leicestershire County Council’s Employee Code of Conduct, Skills for Care Code of Conduct for Adult Social Care Workers.
We will provide the training and you will have a team behind you to mentor, coach and support your journey.
We will meet the training costs and the DBS enhanced check (Adults Barred List) for a regulated activity required for this post.

About You
To apply for this post, you must be able to evidence in your application how you meet the following criteria:
Demonstrate a commitment to providing high quality care and support, and maximising independence; along with the ability to assist with the moving and handling of people using available equipment
Be responsive to meet the changing needs of a 24/7 service. Must be able to work flexibly and participate in a staff rota that incorporates working weekends and bank holidays;
Have a suitable level of experience in a supervisory or managerial position in a social care setting; along with strong IT and written skills sufficient to write and maintain clear, concise records
Demonstrate sound regulatory knowledge on the Fundamental Standards set by the Care Quality Commission.
Have a Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or other equivalent qualification in a relevant subject or equivalent level of relevant experience.
Have the ability to analyse information to be able to reach defensible decisions and compile a broad range of risk assessments with guidance from relevant departmental colleagues, comply with audit/inspection visits undertaken by the Council and other relevant bodies and ensure effective follow through of actions highlighted in achieving full compliance.
Have suitable experience of managing areas of risk, including but not limited to: The safeguarding of service users; Providing advice to staff to maintain safe and effective service provision.
