Summary
To produce, manage and implement a programme of capital investment proposals as required to develop and maintain the Estate and property on a day-to day and longer-term basis, and to produce the Trust’s development control plan in line with its agreed Estates Strategy (incorporating all capital investment plans). To act as a professional lead for all matters relating to design and construction for PFI/PPP projects.
o support (and where appropriate lead) the capital related business-planning processes for the Trust, and to act as lead for all matters relating to building/interior design and urban design.
To implement procedures to ensure that all developments are carried out in accordance with all legal, statutory and technical guidance (HTM’s etc.) and that all relevant backlog maintenance issues are addressed, such that clinicians are able to provide health care within a physical environment that is safe, comfortable and equitably accessible.
To ensure adequate procedures are in place to identify and quantify all risks related to undertaking developments within an acute setting, and to ensure such risks are suitably mitigated, controlled and managed.
To provide professional advice and support to those engaged in the maintenance, development and replacement of the Trust’s estate.
