Data and documents are requested and delivered using XML (Extensible Markup Language). Customers must use standard XML data schemas as defined in the Interface Specification.
Pre-requisites
It is essential that anyone wishing to use the Companies House XML Gateway has sound experience in developing software that uses HTTP and XML.Companies House cannot provide any advice and support on developing your own software.
Software Filing
This is a separate service also available via the XML Gateway that enables documents to be submitted to Companies House electronically.
