Certimus Introduction
The Certimus seismometer is a broadband seismometer with a 90° tilt tolerance, suitable for local, regional and global seismic monitoring. SEIS-UK maintains 60 Certimus, as well as a variety of ancillary equipment to power, deploy and perform data recovery with.

Shipping information
The Certimus are shipped in transit cases that can hold up to 5 Certimus and associated cables. These shipping cases also feature power and communication hubs, which allows one battery/power supply to power 5 instruments and one computer to communicate with all 5 Certimus for easy pre-deployment configuration.
We can also provide deployment backpacks, for transporting Certimus in the field. The Certimus should NOT be shipped in these backpacks
SEIS-UK is able to offer advice on the appropriate type and number of solar panels and batteries necessary for your period and latitude of deployment. 12V batteries (usually car batteries) should be provided by the user.
