Centaur and Horizon

Trillium Horizon and Centaur Introduction

The Trillium Horizon seismometer is a low-noise broadband seismometer suitable for local, regional and teleseimic studies and is paired with the Centaur digital recorder. SEIS-UK maintains 15 pairs of Trillium Horizons/Centaur recorders, as well as a variety of ancillary equipment to power, deploy and perform data recovery with.

Shipping information

The Trillium Horizon and Centaurs are packed in their own individual peli cases with protective foam. The Centaur is intended to be deployed in it's peli case in the field. The peli cases are shipped in larger transit boxes, which can hold 2 x Trillium Horizons, 2 x Centaurs and cables. GPS and solar regulators are generally shipped in additional boxes.

SEIS-UK is able to offer advice on the appropriate type and number of solar panels and batteries necessary for your period and latitude of deployment. 12V batteries (usually car batteries) should be provided by the user.
