Field Setup

Orientate the 6TD/ESPCD to true north (noting the magnetic declination).

Level the 6TD/ESPCD using the bubble meter and varying the instrument locking nuts.

Attach the firewire cable to the port on top of the 6TD/ESPCD.

Attach the breakout box cable to the other port on top of the 6TD/ESCPD.

On the breakout box, attach the GPS cable (6 way male end) to the central port (6 way female).

Attach the GPS Antenna to the other end of the GPS cable.

On the breakout box, attach the 6TD/ESPCD power cable (10 way female end coming from the solar regulator) to the end port (10 way male).

Lastly connect the serial cable (6 way female end) to the first port in the breakout box (6 way male).
