Hinkley Point A site
Graham Pearn
Vice Chair
I have lived in North Petherton, Somerset for most of my life, with brief spells in Bridgwater and Purton.
My career has been rooted in maintenance and engineering since leaving school. I completed an Electrical Technician apprenticeship at UCB Films in Bridgwater, starting in 1997, before moving into the food industry maintaining bottling and carton filling equipment. In 2007 I joined the maintenance department at Hinkley Point B, where I have worked ever since, now in the role of Site Engineer for EDF.
Alongside my engineering role, I serve as Lead Union Representative for Unite at the site, and am actively involved in regional meetings and the Senior Nuclear Reps Committee.
Outside of work, I am a passionate rugby fan and coach my local Colts team. I also enjoy mountain biking and bicycle camping, as well as family camping with my wife and children.
Having lived and worked in this area all my life, I have a keen interest in the relationship between Hinkley Point and the wider local community, and the role the site plays in the lives of those around it.
