We use a third party provider, Adestra, to deliver our monthly e-newsletter. We collect your email address so we can send our newsletter. We gather statistics around link clicks using encoded URL strings, which do not use any technology (eg localstorage, cookies etc) to store or access data on your device. We collect this information to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

The ICO sends out a newsletter once a month that gives a round up of our work, including the publication of new guidance, news and events and information about enforcement. We also send ad hoc newsletters throughout the month. The content of these updates is similar to the above but may be more focused on your interests and will be sent out as soon as possible after publications or events. When you sign up to the newsletter you are consenting to receive all relevant ICO email updates. Once signed up, you can change your frequency preferences via our preference centre - links to which can be found in our newsletters and updates.
