1) Implementation extension for new deposit limit requirements
Operators have been granted more time to prepare for new deposit limit requirements.
In October 2025 the first phase of improvements to tools that help consumers to manage their gambling were introduced in the Remote Technical Standards (RTS) with the second phase due to be introduced on 30 June 2026.
Following stakeholder feedback, the Commission has extended the implementation period of the second phase to 30 September 2026 to allow for further operator technical development time.
The funds raised for good causes statistics provide quarterly information on returns to good causes from The National Lottery. Funds are raised from the sale of National Lottery games and are supplemented by items such as unclaimed prizes. The funds for good causes are held in the National Lottery Distribution Fund (NLDF).
4) New ‘Inside the Commission’ podcast episode – the Digital Advisory Panel
In the latest episode of our mini-series looking at the advisory groups at the Commission and how they support our strategic aims Chair of the Digital Advisory Panel Christian McMahon is joined by Commission Head of Secretariat Andrew Jackson.
Commission Director of Policy Ian Angus recently gave speeches at the Clarion Payment Providers Summit on 20 May 2026 and at the Lotteries Council Annual Conference on 21 May 2026.
