Appliqué tent-panel; composed of heavy canvas basecloth of natural-coloured cotton with blue-dyed stripe, decorative design appliqued to basecloth in multicoloured cotton cloth. Central design of oppposing lions chained to stylised tree at top of doorway. Above is inscription in Arabic. Flanked by floral motifs and geometric designs.

- Af1979,10.1.a to d are four cloths with appliqué decorations, all parts of a single tent purchased by Mrs Massey Stewart while travelling in Egypt and Sudan between 1924-1928, and acquired in the Cairo suq (market).
