SSC Sign-in terms and conditions
Standard Skills Classification (SSC) Sign-in is the University of Warwick's secure single sign-in system for access to prototype SSC online services.
By using this service you agree to the following terms and conditions.
Who we are
This service is run by the University of Warwick. We comply with the UK Data Protection Act 2018 and endeavour to ensure that the service is continuously available.
However, we do not accept liability for service being unavailable, for example due to excessive demand or because we are making improvements to the service.
Your responsibilities
By using SSC Sign-in you agree to:
- use a personal email address when registering (not a generic or shared email address)
- provide your real first and last name
- keep your email address and password confidential and not share them with anyone
- take responsibility for all activities associated with your account
- report any unauthorised use of your account or security breaches immediately
- sign out of SSC Sign-in using the sign-out function when you have finished using the service
- not use the service for any unlawful purpose
- comply with the Data Protection Act 2018
- comply with the Computer Misuse Act 1990
How we use your information
Your information will be used to establish your identity and permissions when using SSC services.

Security
While we implement appropriate security measures to protect your account, you are responsible for:
- choosing a strong password
- keeping your password secure
- not sharing your account details with anyone
- reporting any suspected security breach to us immediately by contacting support
Service availability
We aim to keep SSC Sign-in available at all times, but we cannot guarantee that the service will always be available. We may suspend or withdraw the service without notice for maintenance or updates.
We are not liable for any loss or damage that may arise from the service being unavailable.
Removing your access
Your rights to use this service may be removed or amended if you are found to be in breach of these terms and conditions.
Our decision in the event of a breach shall be final.
Deleting your account
You can delete your SSC Sign-in account at any time through your account settings. Once deleted, you will no longer be able to access SSC services using that account.
We may retain certain information for audit and record-keeping purposes, as required by law.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms and conditions from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you when you next sign in.
Continued use of the service after changes have been made means you accept the new terms and conditions.
