Pharaoh: King of Egypt reveals the ideals and symbolism of Egyptian kingship, exploring the stories behind their objects and images.
Egypt faced civil wars, foreign conquest and rival kings, and its rulers were not always male, nor Egyptian. The exhibition follows pharaohs from divine birth to revered death and uncovers the propaganda and realities of governing one of history's greatest civilisations.
