In this gallery session SLD/MLD students can experience the sights, sounds, surfaces and smells of the British Museum.
During the session, students will enjoy multisensory activities across a selection of ground floor galleries which encourage them to respond to the Museum environment using their senses, including the vestibular system and proprioception. There will be objects to handle, things to spot and topics to discuss in this lively gallery-based session.

Session outline
Using learning approaches appropriate to the additional needs of students, these gallery sessions feature multisensory activities which introduce students to Museum spaces and historical objects. All resources needed in the session are provided by the Museum and you are welcome to take photographs of your students at work as a record of your visit.
