There are four main staircases in the Museum: 

• North stairs (near the Montague Place entrance) serve levels -1–5
• East stairs (behind the Great Court on the right) serve levels 0–3
• South stairs (to the left of the Main entrance) serve levels 0–3
• West stairs (behind the Great Court on the left) serve levels 0–5

There is also a central staircase in the middle of the Great Court, which serves levels 0–3 and leads to the Great Court Restaurant. 

• The Main entrance lifts on Great Russell Street provide step-free access to enter the Museum.
• The Great Court lifts (near the Great Court Shop) – serve floors -2–3
• South lifts (by the front entrance to the Great Court) – serve floors -2–3
• North lift (near the Montague Place entrance) – serves floors -1–5
• West lift (behind the Great Court on the left) – serves floors 0–5
• Small lifts provide step-free access between levels in Rooms 18 and 21.

• You enter the Museum on Level 0 from the Main entrance on Great Russell Street. 
• If you enter the Museum from this entrance and go straight on, you enter the Great Court.
• Great Court has:
  • Ticket, Information, Family, Audio app and Membership desks
  • Two toilet facilities, two accessible toilets
  • Baby changing facilities
  • Two cafes
  • The Great Court Shop, Collections Shop and Book Shop  
• The Pizzeria is in the south-west corner of the Ground floor – turn left immediately after you enter the Museum and keep going.
