Accessibility

The Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) is fully accessible to all attendees via ramp access or lift facilities. Read more about accessibility around the venue.

Accommodation

Conference Leeds is the official accommodation booking provider for the Annual Conference and Exhibition 2027. As the official provider Conference Leeds is delighted to offer specially negotiated accommodation rates for delegates. LGA Annual Conference and Exhibition 2027 - accommodation. Please note rooms are subject to availability.

Car parking

To help reduce the carbon footprint of this conference, the LGA encourages delegates to utilise the rail and bus travel services to the HCC.

Harrogate Convention Centre (HCC) Car Park has around 158 spaces and a number of spaces for Blue Badge holders. The entrance is on Springfield Avenue and perfect for events using Entrances 1, 2 and 3. For more details, please visit the 

Catering

Refreshments, lunches and the drinks reception will take place within the main exhibition halls, unless otherwise specified. Special dietary requirements are pre-booked, and it may not be possible to provide them if requested at mealtimes on site. For this reason, please ensure that your requirements are booked in advance; you can update your requirements via the ‘Amend’ booking tab up to 2 weeks before the event.

Cloakroom and luggage store

A staffed cloakroom will be available for delegates to use throughout the conference. Storage for luggage will also be available.

Conference App

Details of the conference App will be available closer to the event.

Conference filming and photography

Please note that photography and videography will take place during the conference. Images and footage may be used in promotional materials and in other online and paper publications. If you do not wish to be photographed or filmed, kindly inform a member of the LGA team or please contact the individual operating the equipment.

Conference office and information

The conference office will be located in the exhibition area, and will be open at the same times as the registration desks.

Delegate questionnaire

A delegate questionnaire will be emailed to all delegates at the end of the conference.

Delegate registration

On receipt of your online booking, you will receive an automated email response confirming your booking. Further conference information will be sent by email closer to the conference (to the delegate and the booking contact).

Distribution of leaflets and additional signage

Distribution of leaflets and placement of additional signage (including pop up stands) away from the exhibition stands or within session is not allowed and any unauthorised material will be removed.

A greener conference

In an effort to reduce the environmental impacts of this conference, the LGA is adhering to best practice wherever possible, some of which include:

  • utilising an online delegate booking system
  • using email for correspondence with delegates including confirmation and joining instructions enabling delegates to only print
    what they need
  • speaker presentations will be made available online post event rather than printing copies
  • the HCC has visible recycling bins for paper and plastic throughout the venue
  • where possible the HCC's caterers source their ingredients from local producers for use in all meals
  • use of recyclable cups

Placards

The display of placards is not accepted within the conference and will be removed by conference security.

Security

There will be security personnel onsite in the registration area. There will be random bag searches during the registration period – delegates will be expected to offer their bag for checking if requested.

Session venues and transport

All sessions are being held in the HCC so no transport will be provided during the conference.

All areas of the HCC are non-smoking.

Special requirements

Please note that the LGA needs at least six weeks’ notice for some special services as they are provided through external suppliers. Due to the pressures on them we are unable to guarantee your requirements will be met if not indicated by Friday 21 May 2027.

Transport and travel

The HCC is linked to all major UK cities via Leeds (34 minutes) and York (33 minutes) including a direct, daily connections to London (3 hours 1 minute)..The quickest journey time from London is 2 hours 43 minutes including a change at York. For sat nav users, the address and postcode to the nearest car parking for the HCC, is: Harrogate Convention Centre, King's Rd, Harrogate HG1 5LA.
