Highlights

L-4 Grasshopper and Fieseler Fi-156 Storch (replica)

Representing a unique aerial confrontation that took place at the very end of the Second World War. Involved was an American L-4 Grasshopper and German Fi-156 Storch, both liaison aircraft and not recognised fighters at all.
Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina

The huge Catalina graced the skies, representing a wartime OA-10A of the 8th Air Force, 5th Emergency Rescue Squadron at Halesworth, Suffolk.
Piper L-4 Grasshopper

Designed in the 1930's, the 'Grasshopper' was used on D-Day; transporting supplies, artillery spotting and providing medical evacuation on the battlefield.

Visitors experienced some changeable weather but were treated to some flying at Flying Days: D-Day.
