Ollie Ilott

Biography
Ollie Ilott is the Director General for the Prime Minister’s AI Taskforce. He was appointed in July 2026.
Oliver was previously the Director General for Emerging Technology and Artificial Intelligence at the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT).
Ollie is a founding Director of the AI Security Institute and previously was Deputy Principal Private Secretary to the Prime Minister, leading the domestic affairs team in No10 Private Office.
He led on the Cabinet Office COVID Taskforce’s strategy team and worked on Brexit in the Civil Service from 2017 to 2020. Before this he was a researcher at the Institute for Government.
