New for 2019!
Join IWM expert guides as we explore Duxford’s role in the Battle of Britain.
Hear of the brave men who fought in the skies during the summer of 1940.
Uncover how they lived their lives knowing they may not survive each day, from the memories of Duxford’s chaplain Guy Mayfield and his recollections of Duxford’s pilots such as Douglas Bader and Brian Lane.
Follow our guides on an exclusive behind-the-ropes tour exploring the 1940s Operations Room and Battle of Britain exhibition, with the opportunity to discover more about the aircraft used on both sides; the Spitfire and the Messerschmitt BF109E, during this decisive time in British history.
